DAY-1 ARRIVAL TO PHUNTSHOLING
On Arrival to Phuntsholing/Bagdogra you will be received by Our representative (Guide). Over night at Hotel.
DAY-2 PHUNTSHOLING – PARO
After your immigration formalities our representative will further drive to paro which is of 5 hours’ drive (151 Km approx.), Phuentsholing is a boundary municipality in the south of Bhutan, located in Chukha District, opposite of the Indian town, Jaigaon. Known mostly for its scenic beauty, Phuntsholing serves as the gateway to Bhutan and other attractions such as Thimphu, Paro and Punakha. Economically, Phuntsholing town serve as commercial hub for Bhutan. If time permits, afternoon at leisure. Overnights at hotel.
DAY-3 PARO – PARO
After breakfast Paro Sightseeing covering Drukgyel Dzong(Presently closed for tourist),Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang (Monastery).. Over night at Hotel.
[OR] PARO - FULL DAY HIKE TO TAKTSANG LHAKHANG (TIGER`S NEST)
Start the day early for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)–The hike which is all the way uphill takes about 2 /3 hours one way through pine forests. Afternoon at leisure for go for shopping in the market. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY- 4 PARO – PUNAKHA
After breakfast drive to Punakha(1200Mts / 3936Fts, 137 Kms / 04 Hrs) /Wangdue (Wangdue phodrang) (1350Mts / 4430Fts, 137 Kms / 04 Hrs). Punakha / Wangdue is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The drive is over Dochu La pass(3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Visit Punakha Dzong, If time permit visit the Suspension Bridge. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY- 5 PUNAKHA – PUNAKHA
After breakfast Punakha Sightseeing covering Chimi Lhakhang/ fertility temple, it is famous throughout the Bhutan as a place which induces fertility for all the visitors who come here wishing for a child. Sangchen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, the nunnery has been upgraded to Buddhist college in 2015 and considered as one of the first institution which offer a master degree in Buddhist studies for nuns. Nalanda Buddhist Institute/ Dalayna, where you can interact with monks and take part in meditation. At last you will be visiting Khuruthang Kaja Throm and White river rafting. Over night at Hotel.
DAY- 6 PUNAKHA – BUMTHANG
After breakfast transfer to Bumthang (2800Mts / 9,185Fts, 213.2 Km / 06 Hrs). en route Stop at Trongsa to visit Chendebji Chorten, Trongsa Dzong and Trongsa museum. Overnight at Farm Stay.
DAY- 7 BUMTHANG – MONGAR
After breakfast drive to Mongar (1600Mts / 5200Fts, 179 Km / 06 1/2 Hrs) en route Stop at the view point to visit Zhongar ruined Dzong, Gyelpoizhing town(new Planned town) . Overnight at hotel
DAY- 8 MONGAR – MONGAR
After breakfast Mongar sightseeing covering Mongar Dzong, after that visit Mongar Lower Secondary school to interact with the children’s and Teachers, evening leisure time at Mongar town. Overnight at hotel.
DAY- 9 MONGAR – BUMTHANG
After breakfast transfer to Bumthang (2800Mts / 9,185Fts, 179 Km / 06 Hrs). after reaching at Ura / Bumthang go for a `Ura valley hike, where Ura is also popularly known as a mini Switzerland. drive to Chamkhar town, a 30 mins. drive from Ura valley and start the day with Natural and cultural hike which starts from Jambay lhakhang and ends at Tamzhing Lhakhang which is of 20/30 mins approx. hike, where you can also get an opportunity to interact with the local people and the monks. After hike visit Bumthang town. Over night at hotel.
DAY- 10 BUMTHANG – PHOBJIKHA VALLEY/WANGDU
Morning transfer to Gangtey/Phobjikha Valley(300Mts/9845fts, 05 to 05 and half hrs one way approx). The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan. At Gangtey visit Black Necked Crane information centre, Gangtey goempa hike (Monastery). Over night at Kichu Resort.
DAY- 11 PHOBJIKHA VALLEY/WANGDUE – THIMPHU
After breakfast drive to Thimphu en route covering Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Garden. And Dochu La pass(3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY- 12 THIMPHU – THIMPHU
After breakfast drive Tendrel Thang to visit Thimphu Tshechu/Festival which happens only once in a year. (it will be one full day program). Overnight at Hotel.
DAY- 13 THIMPHU – SILIGURI VIA PHUNTSHOLING
After your breakfast you will drive to Bagdogra . Then you can take your onwards connection.
